1. Who we are
MEGBA NEXUS L.L.C-FZ (China Car Parts UAE) is the controller of your personal data. Contact: +971 55 175 0068, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E. This policy explains how we handle your data under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law 45/2021).
2. Data we collect
Contact details: your name, phone number, and WhatsApp number. Vehicle and request details: VIN, part descriptions, and photos you send us. Order and payment data: order details and bank-transfer payment receipts you upload (we do not collect or store full card numbers). Technical and analytics data: device and browser type, traffic source, sanitized referrer host, UTM campaign labels, coarse country/UAE emirate derived transiently from request data, and cookies/analytics about how you use the Site. We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics.
3. How we use your data
To respond to your requests, prepare quotes, source and deliver parts, verify payments, provide customer support, keep records required by law, and improve the Site.
4. Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate business interests, and — where required — with your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
5. Who we share your data with
We may share your personal data only where needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including with: suppliers, manufacturers and sourcing partners, including suppliers in China and other countries; freight forwarders, couriers, customs brokers and delivery partners; banks and payment service providers, including Stripe for hosted card checkout; website hosting, cloud, security, IT support and analytics providers; our AI/chat assistance provider, including OpenAI, where our AI assistant helps process or respond to your messages; WhatsApp/Meta where you contact us through WhatsApp; accounting, legal, tax and compliance advisers; and UAE or foreign authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Card payments
We do not collect or store your full card number. If you pay by card, payment is processed through Stripe's hosted checkout. Stripe may process card details, authentication data, fraud/risk data and transaction information under its own security and privacy terms. We receive payment status, transaction ID, payment amount and limited payment metadata needed to verify and manage your order.
7. AI assistant
Our AI assistant, Raymond, may help receive your request, understand part descriptions, prepare draft responses and support customer service. Messages you send through the Site may be processed by our AI service provider, including OpenAI. We do not use the AI assistant to make final binding decisions on quotes, payments, legal rights or dispute outcomes without human review. Please do not send sensitive personal data that is not needed for your order.
8. International transfers
Because we source parts internationally and use international service providers, your personal data may be transferred to or processed in countries outside the UAE, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and other countries where our suppliers or service providers operate. We transfer personal data where necessary to perform our contract with you, to manage your order, to comply with legal obligations, to establish or defend legal claims, with your consent where required, and/or under contractual safeguards requiring recipients to protect personal data in line with applicable data protection requirements. We limit transferred data to what is reasonably necessary.
9. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution purposes. As a general guide: quote and enquiry records may be kept for up to 12 months if no order is placed; order, invoice, payment and delivery records may be kept for at least 5 years or any longer period required by law; customer support and complaint records may be kept for up to 3 years after the issue is closed, unless a longer period is needed for legal claims; website logs and cookie data are kept according to their technical or analytics purpose. When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely archive it.
10. Your rights
Subject to the UAE PDPL and applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, transfer/portability where applicable, withdrawal of consent, objection to direct marketing, and objection to certain automated processing decisions. You may also ask for information about the purposes of processing, categories of data, recipients or recipient categories, retention criteria, cross-border transfer safeguards and how to complain. 11. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the Site to function (essential) and, where you accept them, for analytics. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie banner where shown.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (including HTTPS) to protect your data, though no method is completely secure.
13. Children
The Site is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
14. Privacy contact and changes
Our privacy contact is available through +971 55 175 0068 and the Site. We will appoint a Data Protection Officer if our processing activities meet the applicable UAE PDPL threshold requiring one. We may update this policy; the current version is always on the Site.
